a framed photo
Defined not by rules
nor by guidelines
Rather by what seems
Intimate interpretations
Symmetry bent
Proportions distort
new pale reflections
suited to a ravaged world view
me, you, all of us
combining in a seething mound
distinctive voices disoriented
curved to new deities
who’s hollow echoes created
unfilled reflections – roaring around me
shaken, I focus
question thus repeated
“excuse me sir, that will be cash or charge?”

for a bite
heat, till hot
add fresh camarón
revolver
low calor
cover y simmer
serve hot
with bread, for sauce
best with friends,
enjoy with vino o cerveza

quickens memories

a dusting of light
each impossibly far
crescent of moon
wanders by degree
drawing my eye

of star light
